Morning Aggregation Report 4/1/2016

No joke, this is your morning Aggregation Report.  Drink some coffee, read some news.

Elon Musk and Tesla unveiled the long anticipated Model 3 last night and set a new record for pre-orders.  This latest edition will retail at $35,000 and have a range of 215 miles at a charge.  As the other Tesla's have before it, the model 3 has gotten the highest safety ratings.

Looks like Starwood and Marriott will merge after all.  Anbang in China has abandoned its $14 billion dollar bid to acquire Starwood, which makes their merger with Marriott more of a certainty.

Facebook dominates the internet.  New figures from comScore shows that when it comes to reach and frequency, there are no sites like Facebook.  This shouldn't really be news to anyone, especially when reports came out last year indicating that more people identified as Facebook users than Internet users.

Jon Snow knows math.  Andrew Beveridge and Jie Shan are better at math than us and they've crunched the numbers: Jon Snow is the most important character in Westeros.

Finally, today is April Fools day.  Why is it, exactly?  Vox has an explanation on the date.

Thanks for reading, come back tomorrow for another morning Aggreation Report.
